Leicht Kitchens @ Bronte Beach | Australia

The brief, To create a quality space where the choice of materials will be kept to a minimum to reflect quality and simplicity while allowing the finishes to create a strong connection with the striking coastal landscape.

The solution, Generous glass sliding doors blur the transition from inside to outside and connect kitchen, dining and living areas. The floor space is divided only by free standing furniture elements – the marble topped island and a frosted glass table offer a sense of space and unbroken views of the sweeping beach front.

The kitchen reflects the clean architectural concept of the newly built home with its straight lines, functionality and minimalism. The Raw Copper Oak kitchen doors finished with an environmentally friendly PUR lacquer give a rough sawn appearance and a tactile feel, while the Frosty White Strato doors provide a soft contrast with their gently textured laminate finish.

The minimalist Griprail applied to the top of the floor units and drawers emphasises the horizontal effect and clean lines of the space and the lift up wall units add a soft and unobtrusive means of hiding any clutter.

The walk in pantry compete with drawers and further storage is completely concealed at the end of the space behind Leicht sliding opaque glass doors.

An elongated 20mm Calacutta marble topped island provides the central feature to the large space. Seamlessly set into the stainless steel worktop area beneath the narrow window is a large single bowl sink emphasising the uncluttered lines of the area. The Copper Oak, Frosty White, stainless steel and marble all fit harmoniously into the colour and material concept of the house without challenging the dominance of the striking views of Bronte Beach.
